Usability Testing
Observing real people as they complete tasks

I use research to remove guesswork from design decisions. That might mean running usability tests, reviewing existing products against recognised standards, or mapping user journeys and flows to reveal where people succeed or struggle. I look for patterns in behaviour through methods like affinity mapping and analytics analysis, then translate those findings into practical design directions. Content and structure are organised around what makes sense to the audience, not just what looks attractive on screen. Each step builds on evidence, refining the product gradually rather than relying on assumptions. The result is design that fits real needs, performs more reliably, and avoids wasted effort. Clients benefit from clear insights that guide decisions and reduce risk throughout the project.
The foundation of this work is understanding behaviour and motivation — seeing what people do and why. From there, I map appropriate interactions to support their goals, then evaluate success against structured criteria to identify where improvements are needed.
